Hammered copper has its origins in pre-Columbian Mexico. This craft has remained almost unchanged since its early days being the main occupation and income generator of various regions in central Mexico mainly in the state of Michoacan. The fabrication of these pieces is totally hand made and rustic; first copper is melted over wood fires, sheets of the metal are created and then individually hand-hammered into the desired shape. If there's a handle required, such as for a sink or kettle, only then will a separate piece of copper be used

Yes they are sturdy enough, even for your children. You would need a good hammer blow to cause deformation on the
copper sink.
What's the gauge of the copper plate used?:
We use gauge #16 for our copper sinks.
How can I clean my copper sink?
These copper sinks are easy to clean, you just need to use detergent or soap and a medium soft
cloth or sponge to clean them.
What precautions should I have with my copper sink?
The only precaution you must have is not using corrosives on them. This is substances like chlorine or concentrated vinegar.
Is the surface of my sink protected?
Yes the surface is protected. All of our copper sinks are "patinated". This is a process applied under heat to the surface of the
copper sink that protects it from the elements.
Do you combine multiple purchases to save in my final price?
Yes we do. You will save on s/h in multiple purchases. We can give you
wholesale prices if you buy 5 or more sinks.
Can I place a custom order?
Yes you can. You just send us the characteristics and dimensions of what you want and we'll have a quote for you.

Installation:
This type of copper sinks are easy to install. If you want top use it as a drop in sink, it is mounted from above the counter with a visible rim that lies across the surface. The counter is cut the size and shape of the sink, (Normally 0.75" less than the rim to rim measurements) the self-rimming sink edges sit on the counter after the sink has been dropped into place.
If you prefer you can also install it above the counter as a vessel sink. In both configurations the
copper sink will give your home a unique look and style.
